SECTION COMMITTEES

COMMITTEE CHAIRPERSONS - The chairperson should be appointed by the President from members who are willing to promote SPE programs. Each Committee Chairperson should be charged with the responsibility of obtaining one or more members who are interested in his or her particular function of the Section.

STANDING COMMITTEES

The Section Bylaws or Rules shall establish Standing Committees considered necessary for the attainment of the goals or conduct of business of the Section. The President shall be responsible for the proper staffing of these committees. Members of all committees shall be members in good standing of the Section.

Unless otherwise provided in the Section Bylaws or Rules, the President shall appoint the Chairperson of all committees, with the approval of the Board. The terms of all appointments shall coincide with the term of the President.

The President may, with Board approval, remove any committee member appointed or approved whenever it is judged such removal to be in the best interest of the Section.

Continuing goals of the committees shall be stipulated in the Section Bylaws. The President, with the approval of the Board, may establish other goals.
