The Golden Gate Section is pleased to offer a $250 award to the winning essay submitted by a high school within the Section.

Here are our criteria for submission:

Essay must be submitted by December 1st, 2008

One copy of the Essay MUST be submitted electronically (WORD or similar format)

Final 3 contestants will be notified of their nomination by January 1st, 2009

3 finalists and teacher will be invited to the SPE GGS Education Night dinner meeting to be held on the 3rd Thursday of April to present their essay.

Judging will take place that night and winner selected and cash award presented.

Finalist will have his/her essay submitted into National contest for chance to win $1000 for student and $1000 for high school.
